PSP bolsters security measures during the Champions League Final in Porto

The PSP (Police for Public Security) announced the strengthening of the security measures for the Champions League Final, which will be played tomorrow, 29 May, between Chelsea and Manchester City, at the Dragão Stadium. Starting at 8 pm today, 28 May, three security perimeters will be established around the stadium, which means that there are traffic constraints in the surrounding area.

Porto will have Night Watch Guards in the city’s streets

The Municipal Executive has unanimously approved the implementation of a night watch guard services, which would extend to the 11 areas in the Historic Centre, as well as in Ramalde, in Lordelo do Ouro and Massarelos. The extension of such services are under consideration.

Porto City Hall promotes mental health care among its collaborators

Porto City Hall launched a programme to raise awareness on the issue of mental health among its collaborators, which is especially relevant in the ongoing pandemic context. Last week, it was time for the Municipal Police to undergo the workshop, at Almeida Garrett Municipal Library. “The current framework [of Covid-19] accentuated and exposed even further the importance of taking care of people’s physical and psychological health, with common and concerted responses”.
