U.Porto ranks in the top 100 European Universities with the strongest impact on the Internet

Porto University is the best placed university in the Webometrics Ranking of World Universities, which measures the online presence of over one thousand Higher Education Institutions worldwide. Porto academia is on the 225th place on the world ranking and it is the only Portuguese University to be at the top 100 in Europe.

Call for strategies to fight cancer in Europe with the 1st Gago Conference

The "Solving the unsolved Rare Diseases" project was recently funded by the European Commission, through the Horizon 2020. The amount of 250 thousand euros has already been found for the i3S Expression Regulation in Cancer research project led by Carla Oliveira.

The Head of State commends the excellence of higher education in Porto at the opening of the School of Health new installations

The President of the Republic commended the way Porto region has been supporting Education and Social Cohesion by investing in the health component. The Polytechnic Institute of Porto (IPP), also referred to as Porto Polytechnic recently opened the School of Health new premises at the university campus of Asprela and was honoured by the presence of the President of the Republic who praised the "quality and excellence of higher education" in the city.
