Science will be served at the table, 30 November, at Pinguim Café, a pub in Belmonte Street, no. 65, located in the historical centre of Porto, starting at 9.30 pm.

The convivial atmosphere, with friends and acquaintances is the ideal setting to debate such issues as sustainable chemistry and engineering and also clinical sexology.

This initiative, under the name PubhD Porto is part of an international movement for the dissemination of science. This movement was established in Nottingham, in Great Britain, in 2014.

Filipa Ribeiro, Nuno Francisco and Ricardo Ferraz, investigators from Porto university institutions brought this concept to Porto in January 2017.

The hosts for the evening are Ricardo Ferraz, Raquel Pereira and Zenaida Mourão, investigators and scientists that will talk about their research.

Ricardo Ferraz is a Professor at the Superior School of Health of the Polytechnic Institute of Porto, and he has a PhD in Sustainable Chemistry from the Universidade Nova of Lisbon.

Raquel Pereira is a researcher within SexLab - Investigation Group in Human Sexuality, at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences (FPCEUP).

Zenaida Mourão started by studying economy and later she moved to chemistry at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto (FCUP).
