Electricity distribution boxes brighten up Rua das Flores

Under the motto “500 anos da Rua das Flores”, 24 electricity distribution boxes greet the new year with new colours. The works result from Programa de Arte Urbana launched by the municipal company Ágora for the annual intervention in equipment arranged along the iconic street.

The greatest show in the Universe celebrates its 80th anniversary at Coliseu do Porto

The journey that promises to go beyond the walls of one of the most iconic show rooms in the city will take place until January 2nd. At the age of 80, the Coliseu Christmas Circus no longer wants to be the greatest show in the world, but in the universe. In an edition inspired by unknown galaxies and planets, it showcases an adventure without a net that challenges all the limits of circus technics.

The magic of Christmas spreads light through the streets of Porto

The spirit of Christmas season is felt in the city. The lighting shines around 80 streets, squares, plazas, and gardens in Porto, where you can, again this year, find a Christmas tree in front of the City Hall building.

The show TODOS took the art of young people to the Coliseu stage

Sixteen young people from the Cerco and Pasteleira housing projects presented TODOS in Coliseu Ageas. The show with technical direction of Isabel de Barros and Max Oliveira, marked the closure of activities promoted by Domus Social, under the program AIIA - Abordagem Integrada para a Inclusão Ativa, supported by the Municipality of Porto.

The 2021 edition of WOMEX, the world music festival, said goodbye to Porto. The Teatro Rivoli was the chosen venue to host the closing session, marked by the WOMEX Awards ceremony.

Brand new Pergola in Foz!

Pérgola da Foz, one of the most iconic constructions on the Atlantic front of the city of Porto, was rehabilitated by the Municipality. This structure was heavily damaged and the goal was to restore the concrete structure and the balcony. The surrounding balustrade, ramps and stairs to access the beaches, from Jardim dos Ingleses to Esplanada do Molhe, were also repaired.

The Mercado do Bolhão is finally starting to tick!

The Bolhão Market construction project is about to enter its conclusion phase. Right at Rua Formosa, we find the centennial Mercado do Bolhão building, where an intensive repair and restoration work, much like that of watchmaking, is ongoing. The works are estimated to conclude in the second half of the year.
