The WOMEX festival says goodbye to Porto after five days of great musical communion

The 2021 edition of WOMEX, the world music festival, said goodbye to Porto. The Teatro Rivoli was the chosen venue to host the closing session, marked by the WOMEX Awards ceremony.
From 28th to 31st October, Porto hosted hundreds of record labels, distributors, promoters, artists’ associations, streaming platforms, journalists, among other agents in the music area, providing a unique opportunity for Portugal to project talent internationally and the creativity of its artists and professionals.
Womex presented more than 60 concerts in the city, in a program that traversed, the Casa da Música, the Alfândega, the Coliseu Porto Ageas, the Teatro Rivoli, the Teatro Nacional de São João, the Teatro Sá da Bandeira, but also the Cinema Passos Manuel, the Hard Club and a marquee at Praça D. João I.
