Theatre Company Estrutura features the show "M'18", revisiting the legacy of May 68 at Rivoli, on 25 and 26 May. With this performance, Estrutura aims at assessing what this fundamental breakage meant and means at present, what memories do this "calling into question" bring, both to those who have experienced it and those who were born after the event.

Klein takes the understage at Rivoli on May 19th

Klein will go on stage at Rivoli, on May 19th, starting at 10.30 pm, featuring her latest work "Tommy", released in 2017, with a music genre that defies labelling, as she recreates new music based on the melodies of 1950s pop music and '90s R&B.

Collective (La) Horde delivers masterclass at Rivoli, on 11 May

The collective (La) Horde, with artists Marine Brutti, Jonathan Debrouwer and Arthur Harel working together, will deliver a masterclass at Rivoli, from 10.30 to 12 0'clock. The participation on this workshop is free upon presentation of the ticket to the show "To Da Bone", scheduled for 12 May, at 10 pm, in the Grand Auditorium of Rivoli.

Rivoli features Mónica Calle inspired by Brecht's Seven Deadly Sins

Rivoli features "Ensaio para uma cartografia" by Mónica Calle, on 3 and 4 May, in the context of the Festival DDD - Dias da Dança. "Ensaio para uma cartografia" refers to a performance based on orchestra rehearsals by great conductors and to the aesthetic dance movements of classical ballet, featuring a group of actresses dancing on stage.

Campo Alegre premieres new routine by Ligia Lewis

The national première of the new routine by choreographer Ligia Lewis takes place at Porto Municipal Theatre - Campo Alegre, on 29 April, at 5 pm. "Minor matter", which was awarded the "Bessie Award" (2017) for excellence in production, features the part of a triptych (blue, red, white) for three dancers by the Dominican-American choreographer and dancer Ligia Lewis. The red colour embodies feelings of love and anger.

"Pendiente de Voto" by Roger Bernat at the Stage Auditorium in Campo Alegre

The performance "Pendiente de Voto" by Catalan Roger Bernat will be on stage at the Municipal Theatre Campo Alegre. The show features a double session, on April 20 and 21, respectively at 3 pm and at 4 pm.

The outstanding life and work of Maria Callas on screen at Rivoli on April 17

The Grand Auditorium of Rivoli recalls the most famous opera singer ever, Maria Callas, forty years after her death, with the screening of two films on 17 April. The film Medea by Pier Paolo Pasoliniat 6.30 pm and the documentary film by Tom Volf, "Maria By Callas", at 10 pm.

Nadah El Shazly plays at Rivoli's Understage on April 13

Nadah El Shazly will perform a concert at Rivoli's understage, on 13 April, at 11.30 pm. Shazly is an Egyptian singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer. Her artistic productions can be defined as experimentalist as her work embodies new meanings to the popular music of her homeland from the early 20th century and offers different sonic and harmonic frontiers.

Italian Cinema Celebration closing session on April 8 at Rivoli

The end date of the 11th edition of the Italian Cinema celebration is April 8 at the Rivoli, starting at 6 pm with the screening of the film "The Postman" by Michael Radford (1994), based on the book "Il Postino" by Antonio Skármeta.

Municipal Theatre Campo Alegre, jointly with Medeia Filmes, features the cycle "Cinema and other Arts", which runs from 4 April to 30 May, every Wednesday, starting at 6.30 pm. This cycle is designed by a group of researchers of the Institute for Comparative Literature Margarida Losa, of the faculty of Arts of Porto University, and curated by Elisabete Marques.
