FC Porto has raised the National Champions Trophy at the Town Hall's main balcony, facing the large crowd of fans who stood for hours at Avenida dos Aliados partying and celebrating the title of Portuguese National Champions.

Around two hundred thousand of fans attended the party to celebrate this title. All the costs were borne by the FC Porto and the Sponsors.

The panoramic bus carrying the FC Porto team arrived at Aliados at 10 pm without police escort.

This was the first moment where fans and players celebrated together. About one hour later, the players entered the Town Hall, where Pinto da Costa, the President of FC Porto was awarded the Porto Medal of Honour by Mayor of Porto, Rui Moreira.

On 12th May, at 11.30 pm, nineteen years since the FC Porto team had been welcomed at Porto City Hall, the team and Club officials step up to the veranda overlooking the Aliados to greet the fans.

The party continued with the players parading in a runway specifically built for the occasion. The culmination of the celebration was the fireworks spectacle that literally lit the sky of Porto.
