This year, The Serralves Park is the host of Portuguese Makers Craft Week, an event crafted for those who look for a "hands-on experience", from 3 to 8 September.

This event is jointly organised by the Serralves Foundation and Portuguese Makers.

Portuguese manufacturing techniques and materials play the key role of "hands-on" workshops, guided by Joana Astolfi, Gonçalo Prudêncio, Nicholai Wiig Hansen and Get a Light.

Participants will have the chance to creating an office item from the Viarco pencil, building a packaging of Claus Porto soap or customising a Vista Alegre china item.

Portuguese Makers and Serralves Foundation will challenge participants to develop special editions. The best crafted items will be launched in the market under the brand "Serralves Portuguese Makers Craft Week Special Edition".

All objects created during this week will have the Serralves Park as the main theme.
