Porto to host European Design Awards and call for entries is now open

Every year, the European Design Awards Festival and Awards Ceremony takes place in a different city. For the first time in Portugal, this year's ceremony will be held in Porto. 

Porto won the most important of these prizes in 2015 in Istanbul, Turkey with the brand Porto. (the brand was awarded the highest distinction level - double Gold) among 1000 applications from more than 35 countries such as Iceland, Greece and Russia.

Designers from all over Europe can submit their work until February 17. Online registration is now open.

It is recognized as one of the most important events in the communication design calendar, saluting excellence and creating an ideal opportunity for outstanding designers from all around Europe to make their work visible to a wider audience and networking.

After the closing date for submissions for the European Design Awards, a jury consisting of a panel of experts from leading communication design magazines in Europe, assembles in order to evaluate the submissions. Also, an observer appointed by the International Council of Graphic Design Associations is always present to ensure strict compliance to Regulation procedures.

In addition to the awards ceremony, to be held at Rivoli on May 27, a European Design Festival will be held in Porto, which will include exhibitions and conferences with the best designers in Europe.

ED-Awards celebrate creative excellence and for winner it is a career-defining moment through international recognition.

Results will be announced to Public on April 15, 2017.
