Porto City hall hosts a conference on Human Rights today at 9.30 pm, at the Town Hall main Foyer.
This event is entrance free and it is held in the framework of the 70th anniversary of the proclamation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, on 10 December 1948. 

The Conference themed "Direitos Humanos - Quo Vadis?" [Human Rights- Quo vadis?], will open the discussion to topics such as the importance of leaving "no one behind" and how are Human Rights observed when it comes to the Universal Rights that (should be) are inherent to us all "regardless of race, sex, nationality, ethnicity, language, religion, or any other status".

The Mayor of Porto, Rui Moreira, the radiologist physician Manuel Reis, Clinic Director of GAER and Catarina Santos Botelho, Law professor of the Catholic University and researcher at the CEID and at the RSCASE (Réseau Académique sur la Charte Sociale Européenne et Droits Sociaux) will address this issue to highlight the importance of upholding such rights worldwide.
