Porto Book Fair 2021 applications are now open and run until 4 June

Applications for Porto Book Fair 8th edition kicked off yesterday, 17 May and run until 4 June. Wannabe participants must apply by filling in the necessary documents regarding registration, Terms and Conditions and Registration Form.
Application registry for participating in Porto Book Fair is open to national or foreign publishing entities, namely publishers, booksellers, distributors and used bookstores, willing to participate in the Book Fair, can now apply to a place in the Avenida das Tílias, in the Gardens of Palácio de Cristal and set up a stall that will, above all, inspire the love of books. Deadline for application is 4 June, and incomplete application is exclusionary.
Applications can be sent to the email feiradolivro@cm-porto.pt or to the following address: Biblioteca Municipal Almeida Garrett, Rua de Entrequintas, 328, 4015-239 Porto.
All applications will be given feedback till 18 June, as stated by the Municipality, via the email addresses set out in the application form, and Porto City Hall reserves the right to accept the application, given the objectives of Porto Book Fair 2021: disseminate books and reading habits, foster cultural habits, promote contact between writers and readers and to promote a grand book and reading celebration, where books are the main players.
Porto Book Fair Timetable:
- Opening of the Book Fair from Monday to Friday at 12.30 pm
- Opening of the Book Fair on Saturdays and Sundays at 11 o'clock
- Opening from Sunday to Wednesday at 11 am
- Closing of Porto Book Fair, on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 11 pm
- Closing of the Book Fair, on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays at 9 pm
Introducing, this year, ever since the literary Book Fair started in 2014, a warm-up cycle; each of the six weekends before the Book Fair starts, the warm-up cycle will introduce different sounds, from jazz to blues, also with melodies from the music of the world, spoken word and dance music, with lots of scheduled concerts that will take to the stage emerging musicians.
Nuno Faria, Artistic Director of the Museu da Cidade, also coordinates the 2021 edition of Porto Book Fair that will pay tribute to the Portuguese writer Júlio Dinis.
