The Porto & Matosinhos Wave Series is back in Praia International in Porto, from 5th to 6th October.
This is the second edition of the Crédito Agrícola Open & Masters Cup, a surf event for more experienced surfers, to be held this coming weekend at Praia International in Porto or in Leça da Palmeira, depending on sea conditions.

The most experienced surfers will compete on 5 October, on four categories, namely, Female, Male and Masters (over 35) and Kahuna (over 45). Registrations on the day of the stage, by midday, on 4th October, via email inscricoes.waveseries@gmail.com

"This is a unique round in the surf calendar in the north coast", states the organisation, and "it will ensure the top-notch surfers of Portugal will head to Praia International in Porto".

This is also a great opportunity to clear your mind and improve your health, as surfing is more than just a fun way to pass the time, it brings incredible benefits, such as reducing stress by giving you a sense of belonging, self-worth and confidence. And let's not forget about vitamin D!

The first day of the event includes, once again, a surf baptism solidarity action for deprived children, and this time for the Lar de Santa Cruz and the Obra do Padre Grilo.

The Crédito Agrícola Open & Masters Cup is organised by Onda Pura, in partnership with the Municipalities of Porto and Matosinhos, and the institutional support of the Portuguese Surf Federation, the Association Onda do Norte and the Tourism of Porto and the North of Portugal.
