IPO-Porto is the only Comprehensive Cancer Centre in Portugal

The Portuguese Cancer Institute (Portuguese Institute for Oncology - IPO, Porto) has been recognised by the Organization of European Cancer Institutes (OECI) as a Comprehensive Cancer Centre.
This is the only Portuguese hospital to have been awarded this accreditation. The first time IPO has been recognised as a Comprehensive Cancer Centre was in 2011. For the hospital, this a step forward regarding institutional cooperation and professional valorisation.
The accreditation certificate will be delivered at International Oncology Days 2017, 21 and 23 June 2017 in Brno, Czech Republic.
