The objet d'art by Miguel Palma - Engenho -  that depicts a car is shown at the arrival zone of Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport in Porto, till 21 January 2018.

This display is part of the partnership between Serralves Museum and Ana - Airports of Portugal, in the context of the planned presentation programme to display the Serralves Museum Collection in diverse locations as to bring individuals in contact with art and culture and thus making the Museum's collection accessible to the public beyond Museum walls.

The artist, Miguel Palma, works towards obtaining a balance between sculpture and installation, questioning progress and technological development in the fields of car racing, aviation, civil engineering and Nautical-related matters.

The work by this artist was first displayed in 1993 and it embraces an extrinsically functional aesthetics.

It is remarkable that this vehicle, whose chassis is built of iron, aluminium body and automobile mechanics, was misunderstood as a real car and the traffic police fined the artist for unauthorised parking.

The work is on show at the arrival zone of Porto Airport till 21 January 2018.
