The first Porto Busker Fest edition ended this past Sunday. For four weekends in August, 15 impromptu stages all around downtown Porto offered living statues shows, acrobatics, and comedy, captivating all kinds of passers-by.

This initiative bids the city farewell and will most likely return next year.

Around 25 buskers, from different nationalities, namely Portugal, Argentina, Brazil, Poland, Puerto Rico and Peru have brightened the first edition of street performance in Porto, in the context of the "Verão é no Porto" municipal programme [Summer in Porto].

A festival made up of people who are not there to see the performances, who have got places to go and things to do but are still drawn to the acts and take in the entertainment.

No doubt Porto was a busking hotspot this summer period.

See you next year!
