The Bolsa de Empregabilidade returned to Palácio da Bolsa to promote the attraction of talent in the tourism sector. Between people searching for opportunities and students looking for their first work experience in this area, almost two thousand people attended the third edition of the event, organised by Associação Fórum Turismo with the support of the Porto City Council.

In the words of the Councillor for Tourism and Internationalisation, 'this initiative is very important for the sector and for the tourism we want for the city of Porto, as it is based on attracting valuable human resources and, above all, retaining them to prevent them from leaving Portugal'.

Catarina Santos Cunha sees the Bolsa de Empregabilidade as 'an excellent way of networking and fulfilling opportunities, by bringing together companies that are looking for talent and those who want to enter the world of work in the area'.

The Councillor also emphasised the importance of Porto being an inclusive city also in this area. 'We need everyone to come forward, without exception', she said. With this in mind, Catarina Santos Cunha took the opportunity to announce the next Meet Up Porto that the municipality will be promoting on 26 March, with the theme entirely dedicated to inclusive employability.

The Bolsa de Empregabilidade brought together various players in the sector and companies from various areas, public and private educational institutions, especially tourism schools, which participated in workshops and moments of discussion about the real needs of the sector and the challenges inherent in the process of recruiting and retaining workers.

Also present at the opening of the Bolsa de Empregabilidade were the presidents of Turismo de Portugal (National Tourism Authority), Carlos Abade, Porto Convention Bureau, Luís Pedro Martins, and Associação Fórum do Turismo, António Marto, as well as the head of the Employment and Vocational Training Institute of Porto, Carla Vale.
