The Synchronicity's Open Call is looking for a European Project aimed at supporting the development of smart solutions/and or services to address urban development challenges.

Applications are ongoing till 30th September.

Porto City Hall provides founding worth three million euros to support the best proposals, which should be implemented in 2019.

The city of Porto is the only national representative included in the Synchronicity Project, which involves other seven European cities: Manchester, Helsinki, Milan, Antwerp, Carouge, Santander and Eindhoven.

Porto is looking for innovative solutions for everyday problems, in the areas of mobility, citizen involvement, environment and well-being.

However, one of the baseline prerequisites is that all the proposals must be in line with the Synchronicity platform, developed in close cooperation with Mexico City and South Korea.

Also, applicants should present proposals that support the urban technological expansion and add to the active participation of citizens in the digital single market development.

This project represents a global investment of 20 million euros, co-financed by the European Commission, in order to develop a global IoT (Internet of Things) market, enabling both cities and companies to design positive digital services for citizens and local economies.

Applications can be submitted with company consortiums and European cities (other than the ones that promote this initiative), using TRL 6 or superior technology.

All necessary information is available at the Synchronicity Platform.
