The second Start & Scale Week event, organized by Porto City Hall concluded with a networking session, music and sheer celebration spirit.

This event, which lasted eight days, brought together young, entrepreneurial and innovative companies that have shared experiences and knowledge that have resulted in a value-added approach to stimulating entrepreneurial qualities.

The Start&Scale Week provided a forum for debate on entrepreneurship and innovation in the city of Porto through masterclasses, conferences, networking and a hackathon, with emphasis being placed on the Doing Business event held at Palácio da Bolsa, which joined in a debate followed by a closing dinner, over 400 reputed entrepreneurs and the Mayor of Porto, Rui Moreira.

Following a first event held in 2016, the 2nd Start&Scale 2017 underpins the city of Porto as a living lab for entrepreneurship and develops a dynamic ground-breaking spirit for people's creativity, enterprise and social innovation.

Porto is paving the way for startups, being Portugal's number one city with a record number of companies established. Also, the municipal programme ScaleUp Porto assists companies in the business world.
