It goes without saying that there are multiple reasons for Porto to be chartered in the top 5 cities for having fun and enjoying life, according to the 2018 Time Out City Life Index.

James Gabriel Martin, Lonely Planet, had already given some inspirational tips on what to do in the "best place in the world for making friends, finding love, feeling free to be yourself".

For those of you who are already in the Invicta, Porto. presents you three full days to enjoy the city of Porto.

Minigolf at Foz do Douro

The Minigolf European Cup 2018 runs in Porto, at Foz do Douro, till 6 October, with nine different club teams in the competition for the title.

Surf at Praia Internacional

Surf is back in Praia Internacional in Porto on 5 October, featuring four competitions from the CA Open & Masters Cup, gathering the veteran surfers.

On Saturday and Sunday, enjoy the AON Groms Trophy, which gathers more than 60 athletes.

Art and history link Porto and Nagasaki

Two exhibits mark the 40th anniversary of Porto-Nagasaki twinning and hand over a message for world peace and free of nuclear weapons.

Survivors' accounts, before and after bombing landscapes, objects retrieved from the debris, artwork by children, contemporary art, by Japanese and Portuguese children and visual artists are on display at Porto City Hall (visits on week days) and at Palacete Viscondes de Balsemão (visits on week days and Saturdays)

Days with Energy alfresco

Municipal programme "Dias com Energia" ["Days with Energy", free translation] is back for this weekend to the customary timetable: Saturdays, between 9 am and noon. On 6 October, the Gardens of Palácio de Cristal feature three different classes: Pilates (9 am), yoga (10 am) and tai-chi (11 am). Participation is free.

Porto Belo Market

On 6 October, between 10 am and 7 pm, the Porto Belo Market awaits in downtown Porto. The street market presents a unique range of memorabilia, from vinyl records to CDs, books, handcraft and biological products, vintage clothing, antiques, just to mention a few. 

Entrance is free.

Showcooking at Bolhão Temporary Market with Michelin Star Chef Pedro Lemos

Bolhão Temporary Market host Michelin Star Chef Pedro Lemos, on 6 October, at 11 am.

Chef Pedro Lemos will offer visitors and customers a world class showcooking with fresh vegetables and products from Bolhão Market.

This event is held under the initiative "Chef at the Bolhão", which takes place every first Saturday of every month.

Entrance is free.

Curveball Memory exhibit at the Municipal Gallery

Created by Sofia Lemos, Curveball Memory is the most significant display by Musa paradisiaca in Portugal. This artistic project was developed by Eduardo Guerra and Miguel Ferrão back in 2010
.

It opens on 6 October, at 6 pm. Also, on display is the "Musonautas, Visões & Avarias: 1960-2010 - 5 décadas de inquietação musical no Porto", exhibition.

Both events are entrance free.

Porto, 75 metres high by night

How about enjoying a city by night overview 75 metres high in the sky at Torre dos Clérigos?

Till Sunday only, those brave enough to climb the 225 steps at Torre dos Clérigos will be gifted a stunning sunset and be delighted with Porto by night.

Between 7 pm and 11 pm, the Clérigos Tower features nocturnal tours. Each tour costs five euros.

Interactive House teaches how to save and have fun

Stroll to Praça dos Leões and enter this Interactive House that teaches how to save energy in a fun way, trough educational activities and games.

Every day, between 9 am and 7 pm, and on the weekends between 10 am and 7 pm.
