Twenty-four hour PianoPorto Marathon this weekend

At noon, Saturday, July 1st, the second PianoPorto Marathon 2017 begins, jointly organised by Porto Music Conservatory and Porto City Hall.

As Porto Music Conservatory reaches its 100th anniversary, 100 musicians will tickle the ivories 24 hours straight to celebrate the occasion. Piano players include young talents from artistic schools across the country and invited musicians that will take part in the celebration, such as Luísa Tender, Madalena Soveral, Pedro Burmester, Paulo Gomes, Fausto Neves, Davorin Dolinsek and Ricardo Alves.

By Sunday noon, the piano will be played hours on end for the amusement of everyone in the city of Porto.

PianoPorto starts at Porto Music Conservatory, moving to the Subway Station 24 de Agosto, Clérigos Church, Hard Club, Misericórdia Church, Sá da Bandeira Theatre and Porta-Jazz, concluding at Viscondes de Balsemão Palace (Carlos Alberto Square), around midday Sunday, July 2.
