Toast to São João at the handmade beer festival at Palácio de Cristal

The official programme for the festivities of São João, patron saint of Porto, includes the Porto Beer Festival, held at Palácio de Cristal Gardens. This is the second edition of the festival devoted to handmade beer.

The festival runs from 14 to 18 June and offers a parallel programme of activities that feature concerts and DJ sets.

Over 30 national and international breweries take part in Porto Beer Fest, offering visitors the opportunity to taste more than 200 beer types.

This year also, there will be an area devoted to street food and gastronomy, alongside a broad cultural and entertainment programme.

The line-up highlight for 2017 edition is the performance by Vurro, a "one man band", a 2016 Internet sensation on traditional rock.

This event is free.
