There will be three concerts featuring Jeff Davis Trio, Uma Coisa em Forma de Assim and S. Pedro, under the programme "Verão na Casa" (summer in the house).
Concerts will take place at Casa da Música, starting at 10 pm today, tomorrow and Saturday.
Today, the opening concert presents the Jeff Davis Trio composed of musicians Jeffery Davis (vibraphone), Demian Cabaud (contrabass) and Iago Fernández (drums). The trio will play arrangements of the songs of the "Great American Songbook" by Bill Evans, Wayne Shorter, Lennie Tristano, Thelonious Monk, and many other.
Friday, 18 August features "Uma Coisa em Forma de Assim", which presents an original repertoire based on traditional European dance such as waltz, mazurkas, folk, Scottish, chapelloises, bourrés, pas d'été.
This band presents a sound with rock/pop/funk, jazz and classical music influences.
The third concert, access free, starting at 10 pm 19 Saturday features S. Pedro, alter-ego of Pedro Pode, former strong man of Doismileoito band, and now a musician working solo.
