The Oscars of the Events bring the world to Porto

These awards don't come with a golden statue but rather with an elephant as a reference symbol. The Oscars of the events, the Bea Awards will be held, for the first time ever, in Portugal, in the city of Porto, from 15 to 18 November.

The event, the Bea World Festival, will gather in Porto over 500 people from all around the world.

Porto welcomes the best in the events industry and this represents a major opportunity to promote the city, the region and the country as well.

There will be nearly 30 categories competing and five Portuguese finalists. The Bea Awards grew into a global scale in 2017, after 11 editions in a European context. And this edition will bring the large-event segment, namely the major agencies and the biggest customers to Porto.

Creativity, performance, scope and impact are the assessed criteria in a competition that gathers finalists from several countries, with diverse business environments and budgets.

The Bea World Festival is organised by APECATE - Portuguese Business Association of Congresses, Touristic Animation and Events, and the main stage will be the Old Customs House in Porto - Conference Centre. Other stages to the event are the prize-giving ceremony at Rivoli, the party at Ateneu Comercial and the Palácio da Bolsa (Stock Exchange Palace) or the Leixões Cruise terminal.
