The Elétrico Porto Music Experience festival may well turn out to be one of the best outdoor festivals in town. It is schedule to kick off on 20th July and it runs till the 22nd July.

Experience art, technology, and embrace nature while listening and dancing to the sound of music on stage at Parque da Pasteleira, Porto.

Besides the "food for the soul", with the vibrant festival line up, the event also provides a food and drink area, with food trucks and beverages, a comfort zone and a playground for the young at age.

The festival's fundamental goal is to "bring the world to Porto and take Porto to the world", by presenting a line up made of important names of the international and national music scenes, namely Larry Heard (aka Mr. Fingers), Delano Smith, Nightmares on Wax, the School of Chicago of Miss Honey Dijon, Peggy Gou, ZIP (Thomas Franzmann), founder of the mythic Perlon, and Fumiya Tanaka the "Minamoto no Yoritomo" of electronic Japanese dance.

Cristi Cons and Vlad Caia, with the SIT project, Joseph Seaton's and its alter ego Call Super, Rhadoo, Sonja Moonear, DeWalta, and Nicolas Lutz are also part of the line-up.

National musicians include "Guru" Rui Vargas, the sound gardens of João Maria, Gusta-VO, João Semedo, João Tenreiro, André Cascais, Vasco Valente, Mafalda and Diana Oliveira.

More than music, this event is all about cultural sustainability, by displaying artistic photo installations throughout the park's billboards, in the context of the Mupi Gallery Project.

Also, the project Sábado-feira [Saturday-Market, free translation], promotes a copyright work art fair, featuring photography, painting, drawing, pictures, posters, fanzines, publications, among other.

Celebrating the potential of technology is one of the fundamental goals of this festival too, with the Elétrico Press Start bringing together startups and The Next Big Idea. A news podcast will be recorded on innovation and entrepreneurship, where startups, partners and investors will share their success stories.

The activities programme features daily meditation sessions as well as a Sacred Dance Ritual, mixing electronic music and ethnic and tribal with a five sense sensory stimuli experience.

Participants will be invited to dance, blindfolded and barefoot, dancing to the beat of a DJ set.

The event is organised by the RDZ Agency, Indústria and BySide, jointly with Porto City Hall (PortoLazer).

Entries cost 25 euros (daily ticket) or 60 euros (three day pass).
