The Best Building of the Year is right next door

The Cruise Terminal at Leixões was elected "Building of the Year 2017" by the prestigious ArchDaily, the most trafficked architectural website on the planet.

Beauty, intelligence, creativity or service to the community are among the qualifiers of Leixões Terminal Cruise Building, which was selected, out of three thousand, as one of the 16 stunning winners in the category for Best Public Architecture.

Leixões Cruise Terminal, designed by Portuguese architect Luís Pedro Silva, had already been awarded "Best Port of the Year", by the Seatrade Awards 2015. It was also honoured by "AZAwards", a Canadian competition that annually highlights the best in the world regarding contemporary architecture and design. The building was considered "Best Public Project" by Construir Magazine as well.

ArchDaily, the leader website in aggregate architectural sites, "only" backs up what we already knew in Porto: the Best Building of the Year is right next door.
