The Municipal Executive approved unanimously, this morning, the donation of 45 ventilators to the city hospitals, with 20 units delivered to Santo António Hospital and 25 units to the São João Hospital.

These ventilators aim at dealing with the current public health crisis, the Covid-19 pandemic.

The purchase of these ventilators followed a previous consultation with both hospitals to scrupulously observe the required technical specifications.

These ventilators were produced in the Chinese city of Shenzhen, the top technological city in the world. The purchase of this ventilators represents a municipal investment above 300 thousand euros, which will strengthen the city hospital's response to the new coronavirus outbreak.

This operation was possible due to the solid institutional relationship between the Municipality of Porto with the Government of Macau and its representative in Portugal, Alexis Tam.
