Startup FEST celebrates entrepreneurship and big ideas that boost the city of Porto

Entrepreneurship and innovation "made in" Porto are celebrated in the 2nd Startup FEST (Feel, Enjoy, Show, Taste), July 15, at Gomes Teixeira Square, next to the rectory of Porto University.

This event, jointly organised by the University of Porto, aims at showcasing "the most delicious, the most disruptive brands, the most vibrant startups and the most creative talents" that boost the city. 

The first edition brought together 3,000 participants and more than 35 startups. This time round, the 2017 edition consolidates the enterprising and creative Porto ecosystem and distinguishes the best of what has being done in research and technology, music , art and gastronomy.

Organized by the Entrepreneurship Club of the University of Porto (CEdUP), Startup FEST 2017 kicks off at noon with Marketplace, a display of new concepts and products until 8 pm.

The Startup Show will begin at 4 pm, hosted by Filomena Cautela and it comprises talks with various agents of the entrepreneurship movement in the city of Porto. "Technology Transfer ", "Trends and Innovation", "Incubate and Increase", "Scale Up, Entrepreneurship in Porto", "Entrepreneurs U.Porto" and "The City and the University" are the debate panels.

The event will be finalised by the announcement of the Startup of the Year Award.

Time, also, for entertainment, starting at 6.30 pm with the Startup Party, a fun mix of networking & cocktails.
