The news for the weekend: free skate lessons at Ramalde Sports Park resume this Saturday. Sessions are scheduled for the entire weekend, always between 10am and the strike of noon.

Under the gradual taking up of open air physical activities, as the result of lockdown easing of measures during the Covid-19 pandemic, the space is exclusively available for skaters that must comply with the guidelines by the DGS that stipulate the recommendations for athletes to resume physical activity in safe and hygienic condition.

Each week, every participant must submit her/his appointment via email to desporto@agoraporto.pt, stating name, age (must be over six and less than 60) and the requested day to attend the free skate classes.

There are several safety measures to follow, namely maximum capacity of 12 skaters, compliance with 3 metres distancing among skaters and material and equipment sharing is forbidden, although Ágora will provide helmet and board to those who need them.

It is worth recalling that Porto City Hall invested circa 150 thousand euros in this 950 square meter, designed by architect and skater Francisco Lopez "França", which can house up to 55 skateboarders and skaters simultaneously.

This way, athletes can enjoy a true skate park and not just a street spot, with the venue offering half-pipes, quarter pipes, spine transfers, handrails, fun boxes, vert ramps, pyramids, banked ramps, full pipes, pools, bowls, snake runs, and stair sets, just to mention a few.
