June is just around the corner, and it brings the largest event in contemporary culture to the city of Porto, on 1, 2 and 3 June.

As usual, the "Serralves em Festa" kicks-off the day before the official opening, on 31st May in downtown Porto with a colourful display of sight and sound, parading through Santa Catarina Street and presenting a contemporary dance performance in the Santo Ildefonso Square. The "Parade Moderne" is a walking performance that joins 10 entertainers freely inspired in major artists of the first half of the 20th century, such as Magritte, Ernst, DeChirico, Léger, Munch, Arp, Braunere and Malévitch.

The programme features hundreds of free activities to be held in several spaces of Serralves, 50 hours of non-stop cheering. The rendez-vous is the La Vie Shopping Centre, where the Bolhão Temporary Market is located.

The "Serralves em Festa" is organised by Porto City Hall, namely the municipal company PortoLazer.
