The Porto Half Marathon will once again run along Douro’s riverbanks on 18th of September. The registrations are already available on the event’s official webpage for the two distances: the Half Marathon, 21,097 KM, for athletes born up to 2004; and the Mini Marathon, 6 km, open to all ages.

Due to the works on the lower deck of the bridge Luís I, the organisation and the cities of Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia are still defining the route of the 15th edition of the race.

In 2021, for the first time in history, no African athletes participated, and the highlight of the race went to the national athletes: Luís Saraiva (SC Braga), with a time of 01:03:11, and Solange Jesus (CD Feirense), who won in the women’s sector, with a time of: 01:15:43.

The organisation created a regulation for the event that meets the rules and norms recommended by the General Directorate for Health and aims to ensure the safety of everyone involved. The document is under review and may be changed due the pandemic context.
