Prologue of World Enduro Championship at Ribeira in Porto, on May 11

One of the most thrilling Enduro races, Porto Extreme XL is back at Ribeira, in Porto on May 11, which is regarded by many as the most difficult route of the entire series.

The opening of the World Enduro Super Series (WESS) brings the best international teams to the race. The main class (PRO) gathers 40 of the most experienced pilots, including those struggling for the top in the WESS. This is an all-time record with 321 participants of 26 nationalities, and five pilots competing under the Portuguese flag in the main category.

The best riders from Spain, (136 pilots), Portugal (59 pilots), Great Britain (30 pilots), France (27 pilots) and Italy (12 pilots), as well as riders from New Zealand, Australia, China, South Korea, Taiwan, Russia, United States and South Africa will race in the five classes, including PRO, Expert, Hobby, XL and Veterans.

The race is sponsored by the municipalities of Porto, Paredes and Penafiel and it runs for three days, on 10, 11 and 12 May.
