Porto Smart Capital 2017 gathers investors from all around the world and city entrepreneurs

Porto will play host to the Tech Tour International Venture Club - Smart Capital, 21 and 22 September at the National Association for Young Entrepreneurs (ANJE) headquarters.

More than 100 senior investors to the corporate segment, venture-capital fund managers and strategic investors will meet with the aim of debating the "Scale Up" process.

This international community has turned their attention on new businesses, investment strategies and scalability capabilities with the aim of facilitating interface between entrepreneurs and investors.

The 2017 Edition will take place in Porto and it is in line with the ScaleUp Porto strategy promoted by the Municipality and it focus on the topic "Scaling Up". 

Large multinational leaders will debate the development of a Research and Development (R&D) plan regarding Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) or even corporate investments.

Despite the larger number of international participants, there are also important national companies that take part in this event, namely Indico Capital Partners, SONAE IM, EDP Ventures, Pathena, Caixa Capital, Armilar Venture Partners and Critical Ventures.

Portugal will be a topic in the agenda with Stephan Morais (Indico Capital Partners) and Cristina Fonseca (Talkdesk) speaking of "Portugal as a success case of economic growth" and "How to create a global software from Portugal", respectively.

This is a joint initiative by Porto City Hall, ANJE and Indico Capital Partners, which seeks to opening doors to funding new projects and new business opportunities.
