The show "The Three Little Pigs", based on "The Nursery Rhymes of England" (1886), by James Halliwell-Phillipps takes to the stage this Friday, 17th August at the Theatre of Belomonte, to mark the 30th anniversary of Porto Puppet Theatre.

This play was first presented eighteen years ago at Rivoli and it builds on the metaphor of the "bad wolves" in human society. After many retellings and recreations, what is the moral of the story? How do these three pigs live today?

Stefan Harrel says that "this play features the analogy of the Bad Wolf and the evil forces in today's society, against which we must learn to defend ourselves".

"About the moral of the story, that's not the most important. The important thing is not who eats who, what's really important is not letting ourselves be eaten. Because life is beautiful and the sky is blue", enthuses Harrel.

The Three Little Pigs are at Theatre of Belomonte till 26th August, with shows at 7 pm, from Thursday to Sunday.
