Porto/Post/Doc features Chris Petit and Matías Piñeiro

Directors Chris Petit and Matías Piñeiro will be present at the Porto/Post/Doc, which runs between 24 November and 2 December in Porto.

This event will be held in several places all over town, namely, Rivoli, Cinema Passos Manuel, Cinema Trindade, Porto Planetarium - Live Science centre, the Faculty of Fine Arts in UP - University of Porto and the School of Arts- UCP.

Petit's first feature film, "Radio On" (1979) will be presented at the festival, alongside short and feature films for the first time screened in Portugal.

The director will be in Porto to talk about his films, especially "Negative Space" - an experimental film on how the Negative space - the space around and between the subject(s) of an image - is viewed.

Following the screening, Laura Mulvey, one of the most reputed researchers in cinema, will lead a conversation with Chris Petit.

Matías Piñeiro, who will also attend the festival, will present five of his films at Porto/Post/Doc, namely Una Mujer Silenciosa, Viola, In The Museum, La Princesa de Francia and Hermia & Helena.
