Porto, Noites do Palácio and Rui Veloso: all things extraordinary

The Palácio de Cristal landscape hosted the "Noites do Palácio" initiative every Friday and Saturday, from 31st July to 22nd August. The last performance of this initiative took Rui Veloso to the stage on 22nd August.
The long established musician from Porto has come indoors, in the gardens of Palácio de Cristal, and shared a feeling of collective pleasure.

Amid the pandemic there was the need to find other ways of delivering artistic performances as indoor events are yet to be permitted to full capacity everywhere.

Thus, the Municipality of Porto, via the municipal company Ágora- Cultura e Desporto, jointly with two major national producer companies: PEV Entertainment and Everything is New, came up with a pandemic-friendly solution: outdoor concerts in the utterly amazing scenario of the gardens of Palácio de Cristal, just outside the Super Bock Arena- Pavilhão Rosa Mota, which had been a Field Hospital to fight Covid-19, not so long ago.

The audience had the excellent opportunity to experience live shows in a safely manner, celebrating summer every Friday and Saturday, always at 9pm, to the tune of the most reputed musicians in the Portuguese scene. 

The last performance of this initiative took Rui Veloso to the stage on 22nd August.
The long established musician from Porto had already been on stage at Super Bock Arena- Pavilhão Rosa Mota last December 2019 and had the honour of closing the event "Noites do Palácio" will full-house exhibition and a repertoire that included many big hits, timeless songs that span through generations. 

Rui Veloso has come indoors, on 22nd August, in the gardens of Palácio de Cristal and shared a feeling of collective pleasure.
