Nigel Ayers

Nocturnal Emissions was initiated in Derbyshire in the late 1970s by Nigel Ayers, former art student who, at that time, lived in London, jointly with his brother, Danny Ayers and Caroline K.

This experimental/industrial sound art project has released numerous records and CDs in broad music styles ranging from electro-acoustic, musique concrète, hybridised beats, sound collage, post-industrial music, ambient and noise music. A stream of deconstructed music.

Since 1984 Nocturnal Emissions has continued mainly as Nigel Ayers' solo project. Nigel Ayers has long been an agent provocateur in the realm of experimental music, and Nocturnal Emissions are the musical expressions of his curiosity.

Nigel is a writer, poet, creator of viral art and digital ritual.

This project debuts in Portugal this Friday, March 24th, at the Rivoli Understage, at 11 pm.
