Natixis is looking for 300 more professionals in the fields of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, software development and data analysis for its centre of excellence located in Bonfim.

After recruiting 200 workers in 2023, the centre of excellence, which develops business solutions for Groupe BPCE, a French banking group, enhances its intention to continue investing in Porto.

Jean-Marc Le Toux, head of Natixis' technology business area, told newspaper ECO that the intention is to continue investing in Porto because 'the level' of the professionals available 'is really high', and praised the Portuguese for their openness to continuous training, emphasising that 'they can learn quickly'.

He also said that in 2023, two major projects were launched at the Porto centre, linked to the desire to recruit 500 more professionals 'in three years', i.e. by 2025.

As for the skills most valued in candidates, Jean-Marc Le Toux emphasises trust, communication and business awareness, in addition to the areas sought for this admissions wave, namely: artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, software development and data analysis.

Natixis opened in Porto in 2018 and currently has more than two thousand employees, who make up the IT, banking support and compliance teams.
