The theatre company Mala Voadora, located at Rua do Almada 277, features the performance "Showbusiness" starring 21 students from the Sales Techniques course from Escola de Comércio (Business School in English), Tuesday, 27 June and Wednesday, 28 June.

With artistic direction by Jorge Andrade and staged by José Nunes, "Showbusiness" is already sold out for tomorrow (there will be a second performance Wednesday at 11 am) and constitutes an artistic project of social intervention.

This project was produced by Mala Voadora in the context of the programme PARTIS  - Artistic Practice for Social Intervention sponsored by Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.

At the performance, the young actors talk about commercial activities, the need for funding, creativity and ability to negotiate. "Theatre is still a business, it may very well be a bad business but it is still a business!"

Throughout this three-year-term cycle, this artistic programme will test, not only the possibilities of art to expand the horizons of vulnerable students but also "to face us with our own reservations about the role of art", highlights Mala Voadora.
