The Paralelo Programme in the context of Carla Filipe and Ulrich Loock's exhibition, "O ontem morreu hoje, o hoje morre amanhã", kicks off Friday, 6th July with the screening of four films by Steina and Woody Vasulka, presented by Margarida Mendes, at 10 pm.

The films "Golden Voyage" (1973), "Solo for 3" (1974), "Reminiscence" (1974) and "Noisefields" (1974) put the audience in touch with the seminal technological experiences, where the duo explores the unrealistic clearance and the materiality of the video.

On Saturday, the Paralelo Programme starts at 5 pm, with the guided tour to the "O ontem morreu hoje, o hoje morre amanhã" exhibition by Carla Filipe.

Around 10 pm, the "nomadic artist" from New York, Lydia Lunch features "Dust and Shadows", a performance that merges multimedia presentations and blended imagery by Elise Passavant. The underlying themes of this evocative performance are loss, anger, vengeance and survival through daunting images scattered by the Spanish desert.

Entrance free.
