Living statues and street performances enlivened downtown Porto over the weekend

Comedy, music, acrobatics and living statues were the perfect ingredients for a two-day escape in Porto.
Porto Busker Fest enlivens the city all over August, offering about 60 shows in impromptu stages. 

The highlight was the living statues performance which took place in Rua das Flores. Around twenty characters, real and imagined, were recreated by artists who master the art of complete stillness while standing, to the point of passers-by not realizing the performer is a real person.

Buskers from 25 different nationalities performed in public places creating moments of interaction with crowds.

This coming weekend will offer the last busking for 2018, in the context of the municipal programming "Verão é no Porto".
