The programme "Cultura em Expansão" [Expanding Culture] travels to Campanhã, on April 7 featuring the performance "whisper in my ear".

Pianist Joana Gama presents a complete different way of storytelling, by playing the piano to the sound of words.

Joana Gama draws on Erik Satie (1866-1925), a French composer and pianist from the early 20th-century Parisian avant-garde scene.

His work was a precursor to later artistic movements such as minimalism, Surrealism, repetitive music, and the Theatre of the Absurd.

"Eu gosto muito do Senhor Satie" [I am really fond of Monsieur Satie] is the theme of the session, schedule to start at 4 pm at the Entertainment Association Malmequeres de Noêda.

Entrance to the event is free.

Satie struggled with financial problems and had to work to make ends meet. As such, he developed a significant artistic work, both in the field of music and in literature. He lived his life with stark simplicity and was of spirited nature.
