It is official: Serralves em Festa starts today

The 15th edition of Serralves em Festa starts today, and the last May day "hosted" the warm-up party.
For several years now, this major event of contemporary culture features parades and contemporary dance shows.
On 31st May, the "Parade Moderne" stepped off next the Bolhão Temporary Market and paraded through Santa Catarina Street till Santo Ildefonso Church Square.
Thousands of spectators crowded in to see "Sursauts", a choreographed piece by Mathilde Monnier, a reference artist in the international contemporary dance scene.
Both performances are part of the Serralves em Festa Programme, which kicks-off today at 6 pm.
This event is entrance free, and the programme delivers fifty hours of non-stop music. Thus, the party stretches till Sunday all around the Serralves Foundation.
