The challenge for the International Labour Congress- Rethinking the Future of Work is to try to design work and jobs in the coming years.

The Congress is held at the Customs Building, July 13 and 14 and comprises the participation of over 150 University Lectures, researchers and lawyers from all corners of the world.

The debate will allow thoughtful thinking on topics such as robotics and work computerisation, work-related entrepreneurship and startups, industrial relations and environment, labour taxation and social security in the context of an increasingly globalised economy, personal data in a work setting, ageing of the working population and tumour diseases in a working environment.

"Because we live in a society in constant change", it is clear that "the world of work in the context of industry will change in the decades ahead".

New technologies, mobility issues, demographic change within western societies, and climate change impact the working conditions.

Law Academy President and member of the organising committee, Teresa Magalhães says: "It is crucial to rethink the role of work in a sustainable way for the 2030 horizon".
