From Days with Energy to Sundays in Shape municipal programmes, let's exercise and stay healthy

Autumn settles in, so the municipal programme Days with Energy (Dias com Energia) and "Sundays in Shape" (Domingos em Forma) are now held indoors, in municipal pavilions to guarantee the participant's comfort. 

Access is free, as usual, but due to the pandemic, the number of participants is limited, social distancing must be observed and registration is mandatory.

The Municipal Programme "Days with Energy" invites everyone to Yoga, Pilates, and Tai Chi sessions. You only need to wear comfortable clothes.

This is the perfect opportunity to boost one's own energy and inner stamina, following a hectic week. Take a deep breath and schedule the programme in your agenda.

The "Days with Energy" Municipal Programme is a municipal project aimed at promoting physical activity and raising awareness on the importance of staying active and living a healthy lifestyle.

In addition to the usual sessions at the Fontes Pereira de Melo Pavilion, the programme will extend to three other pavilions within the municipal network - Lagarteiro, Nicolau Nasoni and Viso - under a partnership with the Department for Social Cohesion and the AIIA Programme (Integrated Approach towards Active Inclusion) and the "Porto com Corpo & Alma" activity.

The activity is not recommended to people over 60 years, with chronic diseases and pregnant ladies.

PROGRAMME

- Gymnasium of the School Fontes Pereira de Melo

- 9am: Pilates

- 10am: Yoga

- 11am: Tai chi

Participants per class: 12

- Pavilion of Lagarteiro*:

- 9.30am: Tai chi

- 11am: Yoga

Participants per class: 10

- Pavilion of the School EB 2/3 Nicolau Nasoni*

- 9.30am: Yoga

- 11am: Tai chi

Participants per class: 15

- Pavilion of the School EB 2/3 do Viso*

- 9.30am: Yoga

- 11am: Pilates

Participants per class: 22

*Classes vary each Saturday, offering Yoga, Pilates or tai chi).

Application: starting the previous Monday to each weekend, participants should send an email, stating name, age and intended class to desporto@agoraporto.pt and await for confirmation.

The Municipal Programme "Domingos em Forma" - Sundays in Shape - returned to its usual organisation, with a warm-up session at Pavilion of Lagarteiro and a walk through the route at the Parque Oriental da Cidade do Porto, between 10am and 11 am.

Due to the health measures in place, activities have a limited number of participants, which is 20 divided in two groups of tem participants.

Those interested in participating should send an email stating name, age and which Sunday they intend to participate to desporto@agoraporto.pt and await for confirmation.

Participation is not advisable to pregnant ladies, people over 60 years old and people with underlying health conditions.
