The greatest architectural showcase will take place on 30 June and 1 July in Porto, Gaia and Matosinhos, in 2018.
The theme for the 4th edition of Open House Porto 2018 is "Industrial Architecture" and this year Open House Porto "intends to make people look at architecture as a whole, not building by building but rather how a city is organised and created", curator and architect Inês Moreira highlighted.

One again, this event offers free behind-the-scenes access to 65 buildings in the cities of Porto, Gaia and Matosinhos.

There will be numerous activities which are accessible to children, people with visual and hearing impairments, making this a truly inclusive edition.

Open House Porto - "the only in the world running in three cities at the same time" - will spotlight iconic buildings, including L'Atelier des Créateurs, Agramonte Graveyard, Barrack of Santo Ovídio, National Museum Soares dos Reis, Jornal de Notícias or the Cooperativa dos Pedreiros, in Porto, the Silos of Leixões, the Casa da Arquitectura or the Germen milling, in Matosinhos, and also the Altice Tower (RTP), the Cockburn's wineries and the Três Casas at Cais Capelo Ivens, in Gaia.

The Open House Porto 2018 is jointly organised with the strategic partnership of the City Hall of Porto, Gaia and Matosinhos. Concurrently, it is the first edition to be held with Casa da Arquitectura already accomplished.

In this context, a warm up programme will take place on 29th June to celebrate "the rescuing of a ruined building", as stated by Nuno Sampaio, Casa da Arquitetura Managing Director.

The concept has been established 25 years ago in London and nowadays comprises dozens of cities worldwide.
