Festival to keep the tradition of "the singing of the Kings" alive

Starting Saturday, 12 January and till 20 January, the parishes of Aldoar, Foz do Douro and Nevogilde organise the "IV Festival de Janeiras" [IV Singing of the Kings Festival].

This event takes place at the Church of S. João Baptista da Foz do Douro, at the Main Church of S. Martinho de Aldoar and at the Church of Cristo Rei, where different choirs and groups will meet to sing the kings and celebrate the New Year, starting at 9.30 pm.

Special transportation service to the venues of the Festival will be made available by the Parishes upon prior registration at the Espaço do Cidadão, at the Mercado da Foz or at the UFAFDN headquaters, at Vilarinha Street.

12 January: Aldoar Church

13 January: Stella Maris Church

19 January: Cristo Rei Parish centre

20 January: S. João da Foz Church
