Dancing with words at Quintas de Leitura

The Frente Atlântica (Atlantic Front), an association that brings together the municipal councils of Porto, Matosinhos and Gaia, organises Festival DDD - Dias da Dança (Days of the Dance), celebrating contemporary dance.

The Festival is running from April 27 to May 7. World Dance Day is celebrated on 29 April during the first weekend of Festival DDD.

The "Quintas de Leitura" cycle is included in this dance festival and features a special presentation at Campo Alegre Auditorium on 27 April, at 10 pm.

Thursday' session is themed "dar corda às palavras" (to get started). The performance takes on the words of the poet Eugénio de Andrade "words are like a crystal", stressing the versatile nature of words that can be explosive, refreshing and clear. Some words can destroy and some words are magical. But they are all part of the fact of the matter.
