Cultura em Expansão features new performances in Pasteleira, Bouça and Campanhã

It is very satisfying to enter June and destress or enjoy a break with the events under the “Cultura em Expansão” project. Today, 4 June, at 9 pm, the Ring of the Association of Residents of the Social Neigbourhood of Pasteleira - Previdência/Torres hosts “Segunda-feira: Atenção à Direita!”, a performance that re-enacts a boxing match, in the framework of the project “Sete Anos Sete Peças”, by the choreographer and performer Cláudia Dias, in collaboration with the artist Pablo Fidalgo Lareo.

The show has limited seat availability and the prior pick-up of the ticket is mandatory. Tickets are free (maximum two per person), on site and today, starting at 7 pm.

Saturday, 5 June, time for the Bouça Resident’s Association to host Limpe Fuchs, at 5 pm. German percussionist with a vast career, Fuchs main career focus is to search for the meaning of sound, by absorbing surrounding elements and building her own instruments, with a rare mastery, by creating a strong musical background.

Like all the shows that will take place at the Resident’s Association of Bouça, the performance will be streamed live by the Porto Metropolitan Radio, by the broadcaster Manuel Monteiro, who will deliver interviews in every moments that precede the concert , namely the radio project by Rádio Bouça promoted by Sonoscopia.

To conclude the weekend, the programme will head to Campanhã with one of the most popular events by the well-known editor, producer and promoter of Porto, the Lovers & Lollypops, with the Taina Fest. June is the month of the festivals, although celebrated in a different format still, like last year, due to the ongoing pandemic. This is to say that celebrations take the format of gastronomy traditions that can be enjoyed, all the same and even more, combined with the sound of music, at the Centro Cultural de Atletismo de Bonjóia, in Campanhã, on Sunday, 6 June,, starting at 4 pm. The musical agenda includes the DJ sets by Ghetthoven and A Pacheco, the concerts by Jibóia, a project by the musician Óscar Silva, and Paisiel, the duo that features the drummer, percussionist and sound sculptor João Pais Filipe and German saxophonist Julius Gabriel.

During June, the “Cultura em Expansão” promotes the shows “Para vós - um solo coral sobre o lugar onde vivem as memórias” by Cláudia Andrade in Campanhã; “Teatro Dom Roberto” with José Gil/S.A. Marionetas and the Teatro Lambe-Lambe/Edmundo with José Quevedo in Miragaia; Cozinha(s) with António Júlio and Silvar de Ricardo Martins & Banda Marcial da Foz do Douro at the Jardim da Cordoaria; and a cinema session, screening the film “Reservado” by Paula Preto, and then the concert by José Pinhal Post-Mortem Experience, at Pasteleira.

All events of the “Cultura em Expansão” are access free, and prior collection of tickets is mandatory (maximum 2 per person), which are available on site and on the day of the shows, two hours before the start of the performances.
