Cleantech Camp programme enters its third edition to promote technology transfer and entrepreneurship in the field of clean energy. This call is launched by InnoEnergy, Gas Natural Fenosa, Barcelona Activa and Porto City Hall.

Business proposals can be presented from today until 18 February by any entrepreneur (PhD, researcher or professional) with a business idea or company at an inception phase, which wants to enter the clean energy sector.

From among all the received applications, a maximum of 15 projects will be selected and the programme will grant 50.000 euros to the three projects with the greatest market potential in Portugal and in Spain as well as support for acceleration and business growth.

The winner will receive 20,000 euros and the first and second finalists will receive 10,000 and 5,000 euros, respectively.

For Filipe Araújo, Vice President of Porto City Hall and councilman for Innovation and Environment, "the city believes in this project and is committed to climate change and the role cities can play to help develop a more sustainable future".

The organisation will cover any travel and accommodation costs in the two cities where the programme will be developed (Porto and Barcelona). Moreover, participants will have a dedicated venue in Barcelona Activa and in Porto Municipal Hall and will have access to the Gas Natural Fenosa Innovation Hub for the development of the workshops.
