Camellias are blooming everyone in Porto, making it ready to host the 23rd Camellias Exhibit in Porto, due to take place on 3 and 4 March.

This edition will take place at the Mosteiro de São Bento da Vitória and it is jointly organised by Porto City Hall and the Portuguese Association of Camellias.

This exotic botanical species can be enjoyed in many places throughout the city of Porto, including Porto Botanical Garden, Serralves Park, Gardens of Palácio de Cristal and Quinta Villar d'Allen.

Camellias take on a significant importance in Porto with the "Porto. Cidade das Camélias" brand, which reveres and celebrates this flowering plant since 2015. However, the first Camellia Exhibition in Porto was organised in 1984 at Mercado Ferreira Borges.

This is a Camellia Competition-Exhibition, featuring the choice of the best camellia, the best Portuguese native camellia and the best flower arrangement.

Information on parallel activities will be made available in due course.
